I thought it was the 31st July ??
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

What notice did they not receive your return for? A renewal form, or your single award notice signed by yourself as you've claimed as a single person over the phone after having had a joint claim? If it's the latter, if you phone within 30 days of the return deadline date, your claim can be re-started. It's interesting to hear you call the helpline, the dreaded helpline hold number. Just remember that although you have a long wait (which is of course extremely frustrating) that on the other side of the coin, there is an advisor on the other end that is taking call after call without time to breathe between calls, taking up to 70+ calls per day for not very much money. It is "all hands on deck" right now and it can be very stressful at this time of year for everybody involved. This is of course not your fault, nor theirs (but the fault of management far higher up).

    Hope you got everything sorted.

The helpline is operated 8 to 8, 7 days a week so it's possible that The Dragon Adopter (if TCO staff) is having to work 12 hr days at the moment.
