Private home exchange

Options
Hi, have posted on here (on the Buying & Selling Forum) previously without one single reply !!!!

There are plenty of sites to register with for Council/LHA exchanges but does anyone know of any decent "Private" Home exchange sites.

I can't believe this isn't more popular in the current housing market to save fees/costs etc and also to avoid the dredded "chain".

Any thoughts/advice appreciated.

Sorry, I haven't heard of any.

...well, you were complaining of not having *any* replies, not not having any *helpful* replies.

  • Hi Pottyhouse,
If you do a quick google with "Private Home swaps" you should see a few websites come up with what you are looking for.
I agree though, most of the sites are either for Council property or holiday home exchanges.

Here's a site that allows you to advertise a private property swap for free: glassbob
Have a look at Glass Bob and let us know if it's any good for you.

I think the reason why there are not many sites offering private home exchanges is because it is not a well know concept. So websites offering this tend to struggle with property numbers.

    Anyway, hope this helps.
