New shower with left hand water and electric feed

Our shower has blown up after 10 years of good service, will fit new 1 myself but to save myself alot of work and money could do with one that feeds electric and water the same side as existing one which is left hand side.New ones of same make have feeds on other side(it is a neptune). Thanks for all advice received.

No thats not going to work unfortunately, its right on the edge of the tiling anyway, it wasn't fitted by us, and looks like it is going to cost lots more than we hoped to sort, but can't do without the shower, moans have already started!Looks like going to have to get someone in to do it:(

All Mira electric showers except the Jump are left hand entry

Better to buy branded now then have to change the shower again, Avoid Creda, Gainsbrough,Triton, Aqualisa....All low end junk

Yep - Mira. Usually fit Mira Sport by choice, all left hand entry for power & water.

Andyhop - what's wrong with Aqualisa? Fitted loads in my time without much aggro - not cheap either! IMO every bit as good as Mira.

Aqualisa mixer showers are fine. Electric showers we have had problems with especially the quartz

It may be repairable, saving you the need to replace with something different - see the tech forums at the shower doctor

No definately beyond repair, lots of wires melted and shower casing melted as well, my wife had been in then my daughter was in it and smoke started pouring out, worryingly the trip didn't go off, so got to get housing !!! to look at that before i do anything.
