Thursday 24th june - What small DFW things have you done today?!

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
:D
Gooooood morning...me again;)
Well, a quiet day for me - nothing planned, which is lovely - no meetings at school unlike tha last 2 evenings:rotfl:
I might nip to Mr T's and get a few bits to keep us going until my shiny new Asda cc comes and I can do an online shop with free delivery to stock up.
Big waves to you regulars....and welcome to any new posters!
Here's my list:
Have a fab day everyone, hope the sun is shining wherever you are:T

Hello everyone,
I’m back on this forum after a long break because I need to get my finances in some kind of order again and have been slipping a little lately!
Okay so today is payday so I have been busy planning my finances for the month and so far have done the following to get money in order:
-Checked internet banking and payslip to check actual income for month including expenses repaid
-Separated disposable income from income needed to pay bills for month
-Updated spreadsheet with details of income, bills, expenses for month and disposable allocated for each week
-Filled up car with one tank of petrol and recorded cost; and made a promise to myself to make that 1 tank of petrol last all month (apart from necessary business petrol use) as spent a fortune on petrol last month!
-Discussed free travel to work with facilities office and going to start using this option from tomorrow (making my potential for NSDs go up to a possible 15 a month!)
-Brought packed lunch to work
-Not withdrawn any cash to spend
-Hung up washing outside
-Will reduce boiler temperature tonight as noticed water was extremely hot when had shower this morning….
-(Yesterday but will include: ) took loose change to Coinstar and used money to stock up on cheap beauty products to last the month including soap, conditioner, make-up, face cream etc.Debt as of 24.06.2010
Car Loan: £3,700 (33 months remaining)
Credit Card: £2,200
Overdraft: £7000 -
