Would they be on an introductory tenancy or secured? In HA property for years before moving to new property.
  • They wouldn't automatically get the tenancy. If not, they could approach the LA of HA direct and see what's available, but the obvious question would be why they moved in when they knew siter was getting married so it was only ever going to be a temp arrangement?

no all moved in together, all live in previous property together.

As this is a housing query you'd be better off asking someone who knows about housing law - try http://england.shelter.org.uk/get_advice
I'll get you, my pretty, and your little dog too!

Then no, they wouldn't automatically succeed the tenancy as the qualifying period is usually 12 months. Your sister would also have been an introductory tenant, wich barrs automatic succession.

I also ready in one area (couldn't find info for this area) that if you've been a secured tenant in the same or different area you then before a secured in the area.

    In other words:

Secured tenant in area A moves to area B becomes secured tenant in area B.

Not all areas have introductory tenancies.

Has your sister moved from one secure tenancy to this one. If so, why? How long was she there? How long was her brother with them? Was it a tranfer or an exchange?
