Sold a new shirt

Basically i sold a sealed in packet shirt brand new with tags 2 weeks ago and now buyer wants to return it saying its faulty.Fair does i don't have a problem with that if its faulty and have offered a full refund. What i'd like to know though is if whence the shirt gets back to me its missing its tags and packaging then where do i stand on a refund.Do i have to give a full refund. They've told me the shirt is too small and has a tear in it,call me cynical or suspicious but would you really wait 2 weeks to tell a seller there's a problem and how would i know they haven't ripped it when trying it on.I'm just after a little advice for worse case scenario,oh and i'm a private seller.
Thanks in advance Tunnel

Hi, worse case scenario is that you have to refund the full amount paid, including the postage to send it in the first place.
Paypal or Ebay operate a 45 day period where a buyer can claim SNAD sold not as described. This is rarely challenged or challengable. All the buyer has to do is send the item back, via an online tracked method which shows as delivered on the tracking and their full refund will be enforced.
There have been horror stories of cameras being bought before Xmas, used and even broken but sent back and refunded as SNAD. It is a risk that is taken.
Keep your buyer onside, get them to return. Only you can guage if you think they have done something they shouldn't but at the end of the day it depends how much they know on the rules/policy.0 -
Thanks,i thought as much, just p****s you off that someone can buy, use, then return when they,ve clearly miss-used the item and then hide behind SNAD.Oh well live and learn...and another one for the blocked list2 kWp SEbE , 2kWp SSW & 2.5kWp NWbW.....in sunny North Derbyshire17.7kWh Givenergy battery added(for the power hungry kids)0
