Hi all,
I am growing Pak Choi for the first time, and some of my plants are not that big but seem to be starting to get flower buds on them....
Do I take them out now then before they start to flower?
Thanks in advance

oh dear sounds like they are bolting. pinching the flowers out will slow flowering down and you can use them in stir fry etcsquaaaaaaaaacccckkkkkk!!!! :money:0

Although usually Pak Choi are less likely to bolt than lettuces (for example), it is the hot weather that encourages this. If you can plant them in a shadey corner, that might help prevent this but if we continue with the sweltering temperatures, it is worth holding fire sowing any more until it cools down a bit.
Thanks to MSE, I am mortgage free!

Pak choi are best sowed so they grow in the cooler later summer/ autumn.Freedom is not worth having if it does not include the freedom to make mistakes.0
