Hole in Roof Tile fix

Options
Hi,

I am getting my roof tiles completely replaced in a few months and just need something to cover a hole and stop the rain getting in until then. The hole is about an inch and half in diameter.

I want to do this myself, from the inside of the roof-space and preferably with a free product or something lying round the house.

Any advice welcome.

Thanks,
C

cut a piece of wood the shape of the hole, coat it in waterproof glue, and jamb it in the hole.
(make it cone shape in profile).
then liberally coat the end bit with more glue.
    should hold for a while.

some mastic seal would be much better. cost a couple of quid.
    Get some gorm.

If you were in the Royal Navy you would find that ships are supplied with several boxes of round wooden cones of varying sizes for use in damage control. They are just hammered into holes as required. Though I don't believe that there are any large enough to deal with a hole from a torpedo.
I can afford anything that I want.
Just so long as I don't want much.
