Well if companies always worded things in a simple manner, they wouldnt confuse us poor consumers and be able to weasel their way out of responsibilities, charges, obligations etc

You'd be suprised how many people wont question the fine print because they dont understand it or think it means something else - which is what its intended to do imo.

I'm betting they wont refund you unless you specifically ask them. How much money do you think they've saved from customers who have paid return postage on damaged goods not knowing its the retailer who should be bearing the cost?

Play.com have a policy of refunding £1.40 postage......which i find incredibly strange seeing as the postage label would have the price paid on it and it would be easy enough for them to check this. How much do you think they've made from people not claiming back the full amount (given that you need to email them the receipt/POP)? I even asked them why they didnt check the price on the label.....they answered my other question and completely ignored that one
