fitting a stair carpet runner

does anyone know how to lay a carpet runner on a turn in the staircase, there is only one turn but O/H is not sure how to go about it other than calling a carpet fitter!!! many thanks

Depending on the turn you may need to have a cut in the carpet.
Lay carpet up to/from bottom of stair before turn, then lay next section from there up. You may end up having to cut a triangle shape for the tread before the turn.

Hope the carpet doesn't have a linear pattern, as it will never look right! Lay a bit of paper on the step cut it to how the carpet should look, mark the nose of the step on the paper, and be amazed at how big a bit of carpet you'll need for the step.Unless it is damaged or discontinued - ignore any discount of over 25%0

Call a carpet fitter! Has it been whipped etc?
