ESTA Forms

In an expired cancelled passport I have a USA Nonimmigrant Visa valid for Multiple entries and also states that it lasts Indefinitely. It was issued in Mar 1984, the year of my last visit to the US.

Will I still need an ESTA application form or is my existing Visa still valid?
