Fizz is my drink of choice (I know, an expensive woman!!)...... May I suggest a few ideas? I've drunk cheap fizz and expensive fizz and after 25 years of quaffing, I've found a few winners. My own personal every day (delicious) fizz of choice is New Zealand brand 'Lindauer'. My favourite is their 'Special Reserve Cuvee Prestige' and when it's on special offer at Majestic Wines husband and I stock up with a good few cases. It is a gorgeous fragrant fizz with a tiny hint of pink in the gold - dry but not harsh, nice fruit, fabulous bubbles and it taste like it cost £20.00 or more. To be honest, I've had own brand supermarket champagne that wasn't a patch on this.

Now for your toasts....! Moet, I'm not all that keen on. Veuve Cliquot is quite nice, Lanson black label is ok but expensive for what it is, Jacquart is nice but nobody's ever heard of it, Louis Roederer is lovely but expensive... How many guests are you having? You should estimate 6 flutes from one bottle of Champagne. If you've read this far and are interested in my own, personal favourite champage of all time, I shall say, very simply, that 'Bollinger Special Cuvee' is just perfect..... And not so expensive that you buy it only once a year!!! Closely followed by Perrier Jouet NV at £35 ish a bottle. We buy most of our wine from Majestic and they do excellent discounts. I wish you all the best!! Cheers!!
