How stop receiving CTC Notices

All,
My partner still receives a CTC Notices eventhough her youngest child is now 23!
Is there a way of getting off the system? We did telephone sometime ago and they said she may become a guardian to a child again!
The Notices give the benefit as NIL, and there are no outstanding "overpayment" repayments!
Is there a particular form we need to ask for to cancel NOT to be re-assessed.
Many thanks,
John

Hi John,
The renewal forms are still coming out to your partner just in case the income falls below the level under which they would be entitled to WORKING tax credits. If it is a nil award and there are no overpayments outstanding, your partner (or yourself if it was a joint claim) can call Tax Credits up directly and ask to WITHDRAW the claim. A final award notice will be sent out to confirm it has been withdrawn.
Hope this helps,
