How to show week-to-week bills for kids to see

Hi experts,
My daughter said to me today: 'If you die, or get ill for a few weeks, how would we know what bills to pay and when.'
I've been writing bills on the calendar and keeping receipts from bills in an envelope. (I pay at a Paypoint mostly).
I see now that this isn't organised enough for them to see plainly.
My question is - is there a template or a system that I can adapt to
show weekly bills and to keep receipts safe?
Thanks in advance

How old is your daughter? Can she use a computer?
I manage my houseshare's bills on a shared google calendar by scan the bills in to the calendar items. Gives us reminders when the bills are due and keeps them visible to everyone in case one of us is on holiday. We only do it for Gas/Power, Water, Council, Ph&internet and a few other major items.0 -
Hi heloid,
She's 22 and pretty good on computer. She would have to teach me.
I'll show her your post and see what she produces.
When you say scan them in - how do you do that?
Thank you very much.0 -
Most bills are done Direct Debit monthly nowadays anyway. I tend do have all mine at the same time if possible.
Have you thought about doing this?
It would make things a lot more organised!0 -
Just reading the T & Cs and it looks like it's free - but all this talk of account makes me nervous.
Is it free please?0 -

Are you talking about Google Calendar?
If so, yes it's free and fine to use. I have shared calendar with my parents and my best friend

Thanks very much.
I find I can't do D/Ds, because I really have to juggle.
Last week I had two trips to hospital - accompanying people who are frail and asked me to come with them.
Well that was £11.00 which meant I couldn't pay the D/D for the phone, and had to cancel and pay by debit card a day later, otherwise I'd have had a £38 bank charge.
So I pay by Paypoint at the corner shop.0 -
Ha ha!!!

Google calender is briliant. What a great way of keeping a track of bills and al that. I never thought of doing this before.
