Tax Credit Form Lost in Post Twice.

My Friend's tax credit form has been lost in post twice.

The first one was sent in April and was not received. 12 days ago they sent another and it still hasn't been received.

Could this be something sinister? My friend hasn't noticed anything else going missing.

Can she forget the form and do it by phone only?

Any feedback or news of similar experiences would put her mind at rest.

    You can renew by phone.

The ask some questions to check your circumstances are still the same and you give them your income figures for last tax year.

I never send mine by post and always do it by phone.
Here I go again on my own....

you can renew by phone but there is no way of making a new claim over the phone. another option would be to wait til you receive another form and send it back by recorded post.
i also heard somewhere that you can arrange to go into your tax office do fill out the forms, not sure how true it is but worth looking into.
    good luck

    Thanks for the responses.

She's still worried about the lost forms. Wondering where they are and if they can be used for anything 'sinister'

I've told her to report them lost to Royal Mail but I'm thinking the HMRC have done something wrong in this instance.
