Are my eyes deceiving me or Have I won?

I won one of the comps, but it was a runners up prize. Its £200 voucher towards Lazer Eye treatment. However Ive got to book an appointment 1st to get the vouchers, so im dubious about it, and more than likely find its gonna cost nearer £2000 for that kind of treatment, mony I just dont have.

Our local price is about £300 per eye - book an appointment, you can always say no if it's a silly price.

I didnt realise you could pay per eye, I assumed a pair of eyes substituted a cost

Yes I got that too. I just thought it was a bit of a scam really - as £200 quid is a tiny fraction of what the cost is to get laser treatment.

If it's from UltraLase, I think we all "won" second prize of £200 off. I'm going for the consultation anyway as I'm interested in having it done and if I can get any money off then it's great!

Did you order the info pack when you entered their competition? The prices are all in there and they're significantly more than £300 per eye

Having said that, I've just found out I'm allergic to my contact lenses...

  • Yes, I got a runners-up prize of £200 off too.

If I ever get another £2000 I may use the offer. Wonder if they do them while you wait?

Yep you guessed it Ultralase, although I am interested in lazer eye treatment, I thought it too good to be true that I actually won something. But more likely the lazer is gonna burn a hole in my wallett, think ill give it a miss, cheers

If you are interested, I heard these places sell any vacant appointments on ebay at a much reduced price.
Is it better to aim for the stars and hit a tree or aim for a tree and land in its branches
