Co-op bank woohoo!

I knew there was a reason why I favoured Co-op bank and their Cashminder accounts...besides being BR....

Just had the Co-op Divi paid in...over a year, a wholesome £25!

And I cannot use a Co-op store either,none nearby....

so based solely upon bank usage and insurances.

now Haglifax wont entertain BR's........and the Co-op divi works out at around 5 month's worth of what huglifax advertise so naffingly on telly, for their equally naff current accounts.....

so go on peeps, sign up for the Co-op divi..toot sweet:rotfl:

    It is the fundamental basis of a co-operative........ie for a nominal fee [in this case, one quids]...one becomes a member of the co-operative, thus effectively able to benefit from profit dividends...ie, become a sort-of shareholder.

    The dividend is payable by a variety of means.....I opted for straight 'cash-in-the-bank'....but one can have it donated to a charity or political party of choice!

    So you'd get about £24 just by having £1000 in there for a year? That's better than most savings accounts!

    if you don't spend it, that is.....but yes...if your pay cheque is a grand a month, and paid regularly, then that's what you get...sort-of.

    Hagglyfix give account holders a fiver a month if they get a grand paid in each month.....[do they have to wait a year first, though?}

    I have a current account, a small savings account and my credit card (which I clear every month). I think you get more points using their credit card.... I'm actually with smile the co-op's internet bank.
    Not actually with them for purely money saving reasons, although I have a free over draft facility should I need it, changed to them for ethical reasons.
