    Morning Everyone!

Went to Mr M'S specially last night to get some more of thier 50p milk and they'd sold out. Still did get 4 wine glasses for 99p there.

Went next door to Mr S who had their 1% milk at £1 for 4 pints so still quite reasonable. While there I spotted their Basics stock cubes - 10p for chicken and vegetable ones and 29p for beef. Worth a try at that price and I've been very impressed with Mr S's basics generally.

By the way, has ANYONE managed to claim in the ASDA price quarantee yet?

    :hello:Morning jeferey, Busylizzie, everyone.
I've got a few Boots £5 No 7 vouchers that I won't be using if anyone can make use of them. Expire 12th September. Sorry only regular posters whose details I already have (to stop browntoe deleting this;))

I keep going to try the 1% milk but thought it might be watery. I drink semi skimmed, is it like that?
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Not actually 'drunk' it Blue , but it was 'OK' on cereal and in my tea/coffee...hubby did not like it at all....we always have semi-skimmed too, but last week there was a 2 litre bottle of Jersey Gold Top reduced in T's( day before sell by date)....hubby loved it and requested we go back to 'proper' milk.....

I think its personal taste. I can't tell the difference between 1% and semi-skimmed and use it for everything, but my SIL hates it and won't use it for anything!

Worth trying while its only 50p.:)

I got 2 of the 50p milks last night - I have the village summer teas tomorrow, so thought I would give it a go!! Also in Tesco last night they have d/cream on offer 50p instead of 95p - thought that was a bargain!!

Hi Blue - I can't tell the difference - use it on my cereal, in tea, etc. and it seems fine to me :D
If at first you don't succeed, try, try, try - oh bu99er that just cheat :D
  • Morning all :)

As far as milk goes - I only used skimmed and can't drink tea with full fat in at all. [bleuch!] I think you soon get used to it.

Thanks for your advice regarding the milk everyone. It isn't the 50p wasted I'm bothered about if I don't like it so much as wasting the milk/throwing it out. I'll give it a try now, just hope it tastes better than the candia , which even though it was free I couldn't drink_pale_

Good spot - I've just made a Pavlova base (using the Happy eggs got cheaply from Tesco with the coupon from the mag) and I need the cream.
