I am just setting up an online shop. Forgive me if this has been covered loads of times before but its my first time in this forum.
I have always used Paypal for ebaying, Now I am setting up an online shop should I go with Paypal or Nochex? Nochex appears to charge less fees.
Any pro's and con's for either?
Thanks,

Nochex would probably be better as the buyer doesnt need to have a nochex account to pay. They can just enter their credit card details.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure0

You know if it was easy and cheap to get a merchant account we would all have done it by now and there would be no need for the "paypal or nochex" questionukbill69 wrote:Or niether and get your own merchant account.
We started a small business 2.5 years ago, from scratch with no grants, loans etc.
To get a merchant account we needed to pay £250 or more set up fees. Plus then of course you have a monthly fee and/or percentage fee per transaction. It can also in some cases take a month before you get your hands on your money. Not forgetting of course some of the banks require you to have a business account with them and some even want you to have one of those security certificate jobbies.
We use paypal for our business. It isn't ideal but it works for us. I dare say that if we used a merchant account/world pay it would be better but for us at this time they are prohibitively expensive.
So to the OP, as someone has already suggested, why not offer both?
Also, customers no longer need to have a paypal account in order to pay by them.0 -

Personally wont buy from any company that only accepts paypal unless it is an ebay transaction.... if I am like that then I am sure there are many others that are like that too.
As others have said, having a fully intergrated solution is the best. I personally dont like paypal so would prefer the nochex option, plus they have their "merchant account" option which clearly isnt as good as the real thing but does represent another stepping stone towards the ultimate goal. All posts made are simply my own opinions and are neither professional advice nor the opinions of my employers

Thanks,
I believe paypal have done some research and they say it best to over 3 payments methods on e-com website.... I would also say the more you put through paypal the cheaper the rates....
cheers
