I hope BT read this.
On the 10/6/2010 Bt who were connected a redundant line in the flat above my shop connected it to my shop line!! they disconnected my line and my broadband in which all contact and orders for my livelihood were lost. BT won't talk to me because I am not a Bt customer, I have just had the line reconnected but lost my number (so still in the same boat at the moment). My provider can't put my broadband on until my number is returned. That's my rant over does anyone have the high level complaints number for BT all the ones I have tried seam to be out of date. Many Thanks

My take on this is a bit different to other people's:
This is an issue between you and your line rental supplier.
If it's a business account, by now, I'd have written to the line rental supplier threatening a loss of profit claim will be levied to compensate me for my losses due to the loss of the service and the number and the ongoing difficulties you face until it is completely resolved.
It's then up to the line supplier, with whom you have a contract, to liaise with BT Openreach and sort the mess out.
What seems to happen however is the line supplier throws their hands in the air with a plea of "nothing we can do - it's BT's fault".
BT are their supplier. It's up to them to deal with BT and up to you to deal with them. If the broadband supplier can't resupply your broadband, that's the fault of the line supplier assuming they are not the same company, so the line supplier is also responsible for your losses in that respect. A solicitor's letter might do the trick?0
