I did a long slow casserole in the oven yesterday and a slow cooker would seem to be ideal.
What else would it be suitable for? Rice puddings etc? Soup? Sorry if I've missed a recipe thread on this - please would you direct me?
I Too am wondering if i would benefit from owning a slow cooker, is there a link to recipies including times on here?0 -

It's now sitting there (doing what seems like nothing) with braising steak, mushrooms, onions, carrots and a couple of pints of stock in it
You'll have a lovely dinner tonight;)0 -
I am so pleased I bought a bigger slow cooker today, gave my friend my smaller one! Have just sent one of the kids to the local shop to get some pudding rice as I can not wait to use it!
