i have just read this ...

Things to Consider: PayPal only offers fraud protection when buyers send payment to "verified" paypal sellers. If you make payment to a non-verified seller, chances of recovering funds are minimal.

how do you know whether the seller is a verified paypal seller? thanks in advance.

Where did you read it? Sounds outdated, buyer protection applies whether the seller's verified or not.

Actually have you noticed that if you use paypal postage it is about 6 years out of date as it says standard cover against loss is £36, and it's been ages since a 1st class stamp was 36p.

It's pretty easy all they need to do is tell the people who maintain the website. The thing is this is Paypal, like banks (don't talk to me about Barclays ) they have an inability to sort out the simple things.
