Issue with Paypal & seller who's abroad.

I sold an item for £100 on ebay and the buyer finally paid after 8 days using Paypal, when I opened an unpaid dispute on ebay.
When I checked it says I have covered for item not receipt as long as I sent by a recorded method but I am not covered for an unauthorised transaction because they have not confirmed their address.
I emailed the buyer to ask them to confirm the address which they said they have done but nothing has changed on the transaction and I am worried I may lost this money.
I am not sure whether to send the item or what steps to take, please can anyone advise?
Many Thanks

No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Confirmed address means nothing any more its if paypal actually say in the details box that it's OK to send. As long as they say it's OK to send and you get a signature at the other end you are covered via Seller protectionebay wrote:Shipment to a confirmed address, however, is not necessarily a requirement for coverage under the Seller Protection Policy since not all PayPal users are able to confirm their addresses. An Unconfirmed Address is not necessarily fraudulent but sometimes poses an inconvenience for legitimate buyers. If a transaction is eligible for coverage under the Seller Protection Policy, a seller must post to the address found on the Transaction Details page (regardless of whether that address is confirmed or not)

Just to mention there isn't a Royal Mail service that can guarantee a signature once the item leaves the UK, Airsure or International signed for may or may not get a sig but its not guaranteed. Makesure whatever postal method you use the item is insured for enough0 -

Thanks, Says Ok to send
Ah I thought Airsure was a tracking service, who would you recommend I use?No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Airsure is not available in all countries. Airsure and International Signed For are NOT guaranteed to track outside of the UK. Personally I would send the item via courier or send ISF with additional insurance to cover you for loss. You will not be able to defend the INR as it won't show as delivered. It has been heard of for RM to deny a claim for loss as the item shows as tracked up to the point of leaving the UK.
What is the item and where is it going?0 -
There is no real safe RM service for items going overseas that are over the £41 limit so like theonlywayisup says you may need to look for a courier.
Also, be aware that if you do use RM you need to pay the additional insurance cost as well as the costs of upgrade to airsure or international signed for and, just in case this was a phone, they are not covered at all if over £41.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
