possibly not right forum but taking £100 dress back tomorrow as worn once as threads loose at seam, there were not many of this dress in shop so may not have my size left and it suits me to a t but don't want to have paid this amount if it is going to fall to bits after a few wears for which I have a few occasions coming up. any chance they will give me partial refund and let me keep dress? I know its a big ask but if you don't ask you dont get as my gran would say.
thanks in advance

Im guessing no, and if you were to get it it would be down to managers discretion so i doubt even employees could give you definitive answer.

Like you say, worth an ask but have you considered checking stocks at other stores or online? You could bad a refund and buy it again at a cheaper price, getting essentially the same result.
    Back by no demand whatsoever.

I know this was posted a while back, but thought I'd be helpful in case you gave up on the dress!
I am a supervisor at Debenhams.
You won't be able to keep the dress AND be given a partial refund. This isn't the store "being funny" or picky, it's because they will need to return the dress through the till, which will mean their stock file believes the dress to be in store. They will then need to write the dress off (If it isn't resalable) and it then needs to be physically destroyed.
If you act quickly (presuming you haven't already acted!) and return to the store, with the dress, and the supervisor or manager is happy that you have only worn it once, then they should give you a refund or exchange for another. But I obviously cannot speak for another store and I don't know what the staff are like at your local Debenhams! You can but give it a go.
Hope it all turned out OK for you.
