hi there, in the budget the sure start maternity grant is now being reduced to your first baby do you know when this will take affect now or april 11 im due bubba no 2 and just got the form to post yesterday does this mean we cant apply? thanks for reading

It comes into effect in April 2011 so you will qualify for this.

2.46 From April 2011, payment of a SureStart Maternity Grant will be

restricted to a first child (or children where the first is a multiple birth). (26)
