I hope that this is the correct place for this.....
I received a call this eveining from a friendly (foreign) gentleman who addressed me by name. He offered to help me reduce interest payments on an outstanding debt that he had been told that I have.
I asked who had told him and he he said the it was the National Database Company.
I asked how much the debt is for and he said a minimum of £1000.
I asked for the contact details and he gave me a web address.
He kept asking how much I owe on loans...I stopped him when he suggested £10,000 and told him to check with the company as I would be contacting them myself as I have no debt/loans.
He said that he would contact them and ring me back. I told him that he should contact them whilst I was still connected...he pretended to and then the phone was put down.
The address he gave doesn't exist.
Had I been tempted into reducing interest payments on a loan had I got one I am sure that I would have been asked for bank details and we know what might have happened then.....
Is there anyone I should report this to? I did 1471 but of course the number had been withheld.
Just a warning....

If you don't have any details, then I suppose the only real place could possibly be trading standards ? They might be interested and can warn others. But posting it here will warn people who read this place / use google as well0
