    Thanks Cara. I realise the 103% mortgage is not ideal, and in a perfect world we would have a healthy 5% deposit to put down but unfortunately paying for my education and the high costs of living in the south east have prevented this!

    just to mention, I hope that you are not moving your Student Loans into the mortgage as they are 2.4% APR (just dropped I heard from them yesterday) and Im sure your mortgage APR wont be as low as this!!!

  • Hi - no I won't be, I managed to finally pay mine off last month (after four and half looooong years!!!!! )

    The extra borrowing is mainly to cover the deposit and moving fees, thanks :0)
