ASDA Online Rant

Been shopping with ASDA Online for 5 years.

I placed an order on sat for sun delivery. Fine as normal or so i thought.

Today log onto banking to find my account 80 short.

Its so confusing but ASDA tell your bank on the day of order the amount and they take that from your available balance. They then take the amount on on delivery day officially. You have to wait 5 days for the original amount to clear off and in that time you have technically paid your shopping twice. I am now 80 short.

Luckily parents loaned me money otherwise my insurance direct debits would have bounced. As Asda say its there system and they cant change.

Lloyds my bank of 27 years would not even help. Sigh.

I know this rant doesnt change anything but if not anything to serve a warning that this could happen.
