Does NHBC cover garden wall?

House is 8 years old. Just discovered, after removing bushes, vertical and horizontal cracks in the garden wall. Anyone know if a garden wall is covered by the NHBC 10 year guarantee?.

This booklet might help. On the other hand it might be quicker to phone NHBC. I once had to claim against a builder who hadn't put a proper base under a 30+ foot driveway, which was sinking. As soon as the NHBC inspector appeared, the builder suddenly galvanised into action. It will all depend if there is a time limit on claiming, or if the wall is not covered as part of the house.0
