School age child - when does IS stop? (Budget)
Frith
I was due to claim Income Support until my youngest child is 7 (in August).
In the budget, I heard the IS is going to stop as soon as the youngest child starts school.
Does anyone know when that new rule comes into effect? I have googled but can't find it!
Thanks.

From October 2011, lone parents whose youngest child is aged 5 or
above will be eligible for Jobseekers Allowance rather than Income Support,
and existing customers will be transferred from Income Support to Jobseekers
Allowance from April 2012. (24)RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.
