refunded ebay buyer on paypal but its not showing on ebay!

hi all just a quick one, basicly a buyer returned an item for a refund as the clasp was lose on a chain and i hadn`t noticed so i aggreed to refund, the buyer opened a case via ebay just to cover his back (fair enough) and i was asked to refund by today ,i got the chain back this morning so went to refund and the link on ebay wasnt working! so i just went straight to paypal and did it that way instead, however now the refund isn`t showing in ebay! its defo refunded as i can see it has in the paypal account,anyone else had this happen lol? because im assuming i wont get my final value fee back if it doesnt show up in ebay as its not showing in my credits tar for any help peeps:beer:

    You wont get your Final value fee back anyway unless you cancelled the transaction or did the refund via ebay resolution centre

    thats the point lol it wouldnt let me refund via the ebay res ctr and the buyer was getting inpacient so didnt want to risk a neg and p**s him off anymore than i allready had i tries 3 times to refund and every time it came up with an error msg to contact paypal if i had anymore probs,as far as i can tell im intitled to the final value fee back from this of the link you just gave me hun

    Receiving the Final Value Fee

    After you’ve issued the refund with PayPal, the case will be closed automatically and you will receive your Final Value Fee if you’ve refunded at least up to 80% of the item price (excluding postage costs).
    The Final Value Fee will be credited to your seller’s account within the next 30 days.

    It doesn't sound as though it's instant.

    whenever iv done it in the past its gone in straight away i just cant get my head round it, the refund symbol is also not showing in ebay either the buyer defo has the refund the origonal transaction the full amount,in paypal status is refunded and the ebay case has now been closed by the buyer i just cant get my head round it lol:rotfl:
