I have an ipod touch 2nd generation from a competition I won (dont know if i have any warranty?). I tried to update it to ios4 just now and woldnt work because of the backup problems many people are having. So, I chose to do another way which most people found to work (click here). Once I tried to restore my ipod to the new ios4 file, it worked up until a point where my windows 7 computer wanted some 'apple recovery' drivers. Now I had problems with windows 7 and itunes before when I first got it, itunes thinking it was a camera, but got it sorted out after a couple of days! I now have a new, more frustrating problem:mad:. My computer wont even find the ipod when its connected anymore (not even my computer but does make sound that something has been connected). My ipod has got the recovery image, saying that it has to be connected to itunes! I have restarted my laptop, nothing happened...contacted apple (bound to get an automated response tomorrow) and have just reinstalled itunes (doubt anything different will happen). NEED DESPERATE HELP FROM MSE TECHIES!:(

I would say yes. If there is a legal forum on MSE you could ask this question there.

If they wouldn't need to give you the normal warranty they could (in theory) give you a faulty item in first plae.

And most the times the items you can win are paid by the people who take part when they send a text to a premium rate number.

I've got an iTouch and hate it. But I don't believe you've bricked yours. I'm a Windows man so know more about those. Look on Youtube for resetting an iTouch and I'm sure you'll come across one there that should sort it out.

I jailbroke my iTouch. In the process thought I'd bricked it when I couldn't recover it. But following vids on YouTube I got it recovered in the end.

Well I've got an Ipod Touch (it isn't called an iTouch) and I think it's great....:T

Got all my movies, songs and photos on it. Can access my emails without needing to wait for my PC to start. Great to have 1000s of tracks to listen to on my long drives. Just need a decent dash holder for the car now.
