Just post it to the store where you made the purchase and get them to sign for it via courier/royal mail.

No more problems, as for chasing them for a couple of quid in postage is it really worth the hassle?
Ok, it is their bag but why not just let it role, bigger and more important things are worth your time worrying over e.g. the emergency budget which will affect you. ;)
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

I bought a bed from a well known furniture store that is no longer in existence on credit about 11 years ago. For some reason I was never charged for the bed, despite at least 10 visits to the store and numerous recorded phone calls.

I effectively was given a £800 bed for nothing and still feel bad about it now. The only reason I stopped visiting/calling was because the final person I dealt with stated that the debt was over six years old and unenforceable.

I do still have the money and all records of converstations should it ever come back to haunt me!
30th June 2021 completely debt free…. Downsized, reduced working hours and living the dream.

No, its not unenforceable it is called Statute Barred (huge difference), under the Limitations Act (2000) this debt has now been wiped - it will never become repayable, spend the funds forget it - move on!

    Its finished - totally. :T

Don't they usually charge you a tenner to get a copy of the credit agreement from them?

Tell them you want the same.

These big companies wouldn't hesitate to take advantage of any mistakes you made so why not do the same to them?

    No it's £1.

If I accidentally left my front door unlocked and you nicked my telly I would be pretty narked, to be honest.

OP - give them the finance agreement, it will save you a lot of hassle and prevent your credit file being ruined.

I'd ignore their letter and wait until they start asking for the money when the 12 months interest free is up then i would send them a cca request. I'd wait for them to admit they dont have one then offer them half as full and final .
That way they not losing out too much and you get half price goods
    but thats just me
