our giro normally comes on a tuesday but today it hasnt, ive rang benefit enquieries and waiting on a call back
what happens now, do they have to re post it or can it be picked up at a local job center? and if it is the latter does it have to be the one you sign on at?

If they posted it on time & it hasn't arrived, you'll have to wait two posts before you can report it as missing (i.e. you'll have to do that tomorrow afternoon if it hasn't arrived by then). If they agree to replace it, they can make a same day payment either directly to your account (if you have one) or by giro at your nearest Job Centre.
But they might not have sent it at all ... you'll have to wait until they phone you back and see what they say.I no longer contribute to the Benefits & Tax Credits forum.0 -

They don't just have you to worry about. Your local benefit delivery centre probably deals with 30,000 plus live benefit claims ... with maybe only 300 staff.
Be a bit more patient, playing "holey hell" won't do you any favours.I no longer contribute to the Benefits & Tax Credits forum.0 -

I hope you don't mean you're going to shout and bawl at a member of staff ?
You're better than that, aren't you ?I no longer contribute to the Benefits & Tax Credits forum.0 -

And is knowing they are rushed off their feet supposed to put food on the table tonight???? its now 1.30 and this lady was expecting money today. Benefits aren't high enough to stretch another day, so if its not being paid it should be someones highest priority. Good luck tinkerbelle, let us know how you get on0 -

Shouting and bawling at staff members is unacceptable, that's what Tinks implies she'll be doing ; that's totally f*cking out of order no matter what's gone wrong.I no longer contribute to the Benefits & Tax Credits forum.0
