Right i was just wondering why i have no problems getting credit cards but have never been able to change my current account from natwest. Ive got a natwest graduate account that is about a grand over drawn all interest free of course, when i tried to change current accounts the balance was up and down all the time all the drinking and all the student loan going in!!! so i tried couple of times and got declined!!!
Anyway different story with credit cards!!! Ive got an amazon but that will be closed soon end of interest free and ive just been accepted for egg money and capital one!!! and had a couple of different ones in the past.
So does anyone know why i can get credit cards no problem but cant change current accounts?
Thanks

Does your balance regularly go above Zero? Do you fund this account with your salary? Do you go over your overdraft ever?0 -
Yeah its always below zero it just under a £1000 over drawn then i get my salary which clears it i then spend that leaving a little in to clear it and so on. Dont worry its all interest free!!!!0

I should think that would be why you can't get another account, then, I don't think they like constant overdrawn-ness...DFW stats:

If you've got enough interest free overdraft to avoid paying interest or charges, I'd stick where you are until you can be overdraft free. Like the poster above said, if you're in your overdraft all the time, it doesn't look good. Work on the overdraft, then when you're sorted with that, you'll probably find you'll be able to change banks no problem.Indecision is the key to flexibility

Why are you wanting to move when your OD is interest free?
Most banks will charge you for being over drawn. Stick where you are until it is cleared and then look at moving.Save a life. Learn emergency first aid.
Who knows what might happen tomorrow or who may need help.
Contact your local college or first aid provider to enquire about free courses in your area.
Already a first aider? Have you updated your first aid to the new 2005 guidelines? Most providers should now be training the new (and more effective) CPR protocols, see if they are offering refresher courses near you.0
