I've never done this fair before, its a new one, Its local so no travelling fees.

Need to make some money from the jewellery this year or dh says i have to stop :( perhaps i need to rething my pricing?

Nope never thought of making kits up

Well at a craft show in April I bought a kit to knit a wire bracelet with beads for £4 - all that was in the kit was the findings, the wire and the beads with instructions. I bought it because I like to make things, others bought the finished article (£8ish if memory serves) so by making some up and making some kits you attract 2 types of customer. It needs less of your time too and is a way of reducing stock if you feel you have too many beads.

I also think a lot depends upon the setting they are being sold in, a fancy show would usually generate a higher price and they are coming boxed not just shoved into a bag.
Have you got any little cards/bits of paper with your web address on for interested people to take away?
Or, could you do a prize draw, where you get customers to write their name & email address on a piece of paper and one is selected to receive a prize. You could then email all the entrants giving them details of your site and any 'special offers'

they are fab ideas thanks, i've got business cards and all my boxes have my logo and web address printed on them.

The big cheese is my best earner of the year, over 50 thousand visitors over the weekend.

The one i'm doing on the weekend as i've said i've not done it before, its called ffillifest, its to promote the welsh language.

My prices are quite low compared to other crafters who make a living from doing it

Claire, depending on how many business cards you have and how much they cost, you may want to do something a bit cheaper. Print out an A4 sheet with as many on as you can and then get a few copies made and chop them up.

If you are the cheapest there, then it can sometimes backfire as people think that more expensive means better. ;)
