They also sell food, and when these deals are on it's very handy for stocking up on the frozen stuff etc

What products do people buy from H&B that actually work??
Figs - good for curing constipation. [Please rush to tell me I'm talking sh17 again, lol].
Garlic
Do they do salt and pepper...or is that somewhere else that does dried stuff??Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -
I buy the muesli when they have these deals on, 4kg for just over a fiver which makes it a good price and it's much better than the dirt-cheap muesli you can buy elsewhere.0

I buy the triple strength cranberry capsules. I'm overly prone to urinary tract infections, and after tearfully appealing to my Dr after the 7th or so cystitis attack that required antibiotics (which often one course would not be strong enough to properly eradicate), my Dr actually advised me that compounds in cranberry are very good at both preventing UTIs from occurring, and also at lessening the painful symptoms of a UTI when it does occur.
I was a little dubious, but would have tried anything if it had a chance of relieving me of this horribly painful bane. I bought a bottle of the capsules, and 2 years later I'm still buying them; I've only had 2 UTIs in that space of time, and these were also coincidentally when I'd neglected to take the cranberry tablets for a couple of weeks or so.
For me, these absolutely work and are not just 'quackery'; there are also many studies upon the efficacy of cranberry juice/extracts etc to treat this common medical affliction.0 -

This is the info I was given too. Well said!
My knee surgeon recommended glucosamine 1500mg daily for prevention of further damage from arthritis. Trials have shown it helps.0 -
Hi all sorry a bit off topic , I also take glucosamine and choritin for my knee joint recommend by physio, is the H&B products are better than other online retailers as I find others are very much better on price, and 27% quidoco0

...., is the H&B products ... I find others are very much better on price, ...
The pdts are probably the same [check the ingredient/active listings to see the mg/tablet]
Of course H&B are much more expensive for exactly the same items!!!!!!! Someone has to pay for the expensive highstreet shops, the big banners claiming cure-alls, the non-stop TV adverts and of course paying Kim Wilde to have her ugly mug slapped everywhere [have they now got an ex-Atomic Kitten doing their celeb endorsements as well??]Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. You don't have to be so offencive about something you have no idea about (I have obviously edited your post to respond - if I could I would report you for what you said but I can't as I don't have outlook mail of all things).Oopsadaisy wrote: »I agree that the items you mention are in the 'good for you' category..........but I would also say that they are typically available much cheaper elsewhere [even allowing for the h&b 'sale' prices].
As for the cost I find them to be cheaper for a lot of things I buy when they have this deal on. It also means I don't have to go in a supermarket and buy loads of things I don't need thus saving money in the long run as I only buy what I need. This also means less waste which lets be honest is just another way of spending more money than you need to - saving money. Sometimes people shop in a different way to what you do and it benefits them in doing so
but you seem very small minded and don't realise that to be honest. I am a vegan woman. My OH is a lovely omni guy

I have from time to time bought some items from H&B and been happy with them but on most occassions buy my Gluscosamine, Chondroitin and Ginkgo Biloba online at zipvit where it usually works out a lot cheaper.

Hey, I started the post and I just wanted to point out that there IS a bargain to be had. I am going to stock up on Easy Yo sachets for example because it will work out 4 for the price of 3. In fact I might even buy 2 yogurt makers as pressies !. As I am going into the shop I won't mind buying things in pairs- that way there won't be some descending order! (and I buy my tablets from Healthspan- but guess that comment will start some muttering!!!)Being polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!
