Hi everyone, I hope to be completing on a property which has a gas supply but no gas meter. My question is, will I incur a cost to have a meter installed, and if so, how much would it cost. Can anyone install it or does it have to be British Gas?
Thanks to anyone who can help.

As far as I am aware, only Transco do the gas meters, but any corgi engineer can do the sub-meters. I will check for you.0

HI
I had the same situation, it costs nothing, i just rang up my electricity supplier (powergen) and they take care of it! Think it was transco who come to fit it!

We have just had a gas supply fitted to the house, national grid fitted the supply and powergen fitted the meter at no cost, do have to pay for a corgi engineer to bring the gas into the house though.0
