I have a cliam in with e bay having been relieved of my cash for this item by what appears to be a fraudulent seller. This was not an isolated listing. There were many over a long weekend and all of them appeared to be offered second chance offer. Listed as a private seller. I do have bank details. Clearly this guy is going to do this again and again. Has anyone else on here been duped by this item. Am trying to contact others before reporting to the police. A also considering filing a claim at the small claims court as I am able to prove exactly where the money went.
Does anyone know if e bay will release details of other buyers?

Having been caught out like this myself in the past the only advice I can give you is be very careful who you post high value items to. What was the guys feedback like, was the address confirmed?

If all of these was satisfactory then how on earth do we know who to trust?

The way I see it, we put our trust in Paypal because we have to believe the money is genuine. It seems to be that paypal need tighter security for people making payments.
