Advertising on your own car

Hello,

There is a old thread about this, but I thought I'd start a new one so we can all share fresh/current information.

I'm interested in the concept of getting a vehicle 100% or as near as possible, paid for via advertising on it.

Please let me know of uk companies who specialise in this area, I think its called "car wraps" the term used for full adverts on cars.

I'm interested in a vehicle of my choice provided to me already with full body adverts on it.

Or being payed to use my own car, to have adverts placed on it.

It's a great concept which i would really like to see through

thanks in advance for any sensible posts.

Well, you just have to do a quick google to find the companies. Here are two:

I have no idea whether this is a sensible/viable plan for paying for a new car. I assume they will only pay top rates if the car's a decent, recent, model and is a largish model (clapped out bangers, or small cars may not work so well).

They may want you to show you do a high mileage. Adverts are not too effective when the car is parked in your garage.

If this were at all worth it, don't you think there would be thousands of cars with adverts emblazoned all over them??

We would all be driving about in self funded brand new cars....

Like my old cavalier from a few years back.... a non starter!

Ask around local businesses if they want to advertise on your car. It may not pay for the car but the money you get could be enough to pay your petrol bill and/or your insurance and servicing costs. Just a thought.

But then you'll have people thinking you are related to the business that is on your car. :)

Can't. They're already advertising on Rob Green's car.

It says: "Guaranteed you wont catch anything"
