What's up with my Paypal Account?

I got a number of strange emails from Paypal this evening. The first one said that a Payment Agreement had been set up to automatically for "ebay seller fees" made to ebay Inc, something that I've not done.

Then a second email headed "Notification of Limited Access" stating my account has been given limited access because they believed it was accessed by a third-party. Finally, I got a third email stating that the aforementioned Payment Agreement had been cancelled.

They looked like phishing emails until I attempted to login to paypal.co.uk only to face a screen asking for either my full bank account number or credit card number and then to create a new password. What's going on, should I be worried? I've tried contacting Paypal but I can't get passed the create password screen!

I've had to do that twice in the past 6 months, saying it was a security measure. Not had any problems since. If your worried it may be worth giving them a ring

I would call them, it sounds as though someone's hacked your account. This happened to mine a while ago. Don't open emails sent to you from Paypal.

I agree with above, sounds like an attempted hack.

You will need to re verify your account with the bank details and phone call etc to prove it is you again.
