Hello all,
Quick question, pretty new to all this switch and save on the energyfront so would appreaciate some advise.
Currently on Duel fuel Click energy 5 with British gas paying quarterly
after all the info about price hikes coming this way looked at the above tariff via uswitch and it says i on average i would be £140 worse off per year.
Now my question is, £12 quidish a month extra to ensure the same prices for 5 years, is that about right or is it a good deal?
I know about the tie in's and the possibilty of prices going down but realistic they never go down and with inflation going upish thinking this represnts a good deal.
Any replies would be most welcome

I have been with with EDF for over a year now currently on there "Online Saver Ver6" which is a fixed price deal which I am locked into untill July 2O11, I have found them very good overall and there customer services team are very helpful too, I make sure I send my meter readings to them online at the same time every month and as yet I have'nt had any problems. also there customer service team are on 0800 No's which is a great plus these days. Regarding your fixed price deal you have mentioned only you can decide which way you want to go, if you feel comfortable with the deal and you've done your home work ie checked comparisan sites etc, then go for it. nobody can tell you what is going to happen regarding the cost of utilities in future years so just use your own judgement.0
