hi does anyone kno if you can close the gap between songs in your itunes library and/or ipod,
i know you can do it when burning a disc as the option pops up, tired burning the said album onto a disc and re uploading it once the gap has been closed but the gap between songs is still there, its so i can do a continuos mix

My understanding is that mp3 & similar formats work on the concept of frames, and you always have to end on a complete frame, no matter whether the song finishes before the end of the frame. This results in a short gap at the end. Most products however recognise this problem, and will work round it to give you gapless playback - here's apples docs on gapless playback in itunes: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1797

Have you tried reading the instructions and some of the online manuals, it tells you everything in those. That might be useful before asking others to do it for you.

RTFM or go google it could be applied to literally every question that gets asked.

It's not always obvious what search terms to use to find the correct thing, so asking here where real people have experience of the problem and solution works wonderfully.

- Highlight tracks in question
- Right click
- Get info
- Click Yes on the dialogue box which appears
- Options tab
- Gapless album: change from No to Yes
- OK to close the dialogue box
