Internet Security Issues, Please Help!

Options
Hi

Im looking for some advice on what to do next.

At the weekend I got an email from ebay asking me to change my password due to unusual activity, so I changed my password on that and also on my email account and Paypal.

Then today whilst logging into Facebook, it has also come up with some issues asking me to change my password and review some activity on my account, I changed my password and the activity on my acount was someone trying to access texas hold em poker on a computer in United States.

Can anyone tell me what I should do next, should I get in touch with my banks and ask them to change my online passwords? Internet security, can anyone recommend some downloads for me, free ones?

Thanks

Download MALWAREBYTES (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION') - this will check your computer for nasties
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/
Open malwarebytes and goto UPDATE and click 'check for updates'. After its updated goto SCANNER and click PERFORM QUICK SCAN then click SCAN
Remove everything thats found (needs to be ticked)
Post the COMPLETE log here AFTER youve deleted everything it finds
If anything was found then do the exact same but run a FULL scan

    reboot

Download HIJACK THIS (Make sure you click 'DOWNLOAD LATEST VERSION')
    http://www.filehippo.com/download_hijackthis/
Click MAIN MENU then DO A SYSTEM SCAN AND SAVE A LOGFILE(Takes seconds) then post the log so we can see whats running
(do NOT do anything else with Hijack but scan and post the FULL log)
If you get a message that you cant write to the hosts file then Press the SHIFT key, and whilst holding it RIGHT CLICK and select RUN AS (admin)

I hope you didn't click any links in the email. It could have been a phishing attack.

I recommend using different (strong) passwords for every site. Never use the same password twice. Also, if you don't work as Administrator you will be much safer.

But first do what alienrik advised you to do.

There wasn't any links in the email from ebay, it just told me to do it all through the site, which I did and the facebook came up as I was logging in, I dont do links anyway, I always go straight to the webiste.

Ill do what alienrik has said.

    Thanks

    Please run COMBOFIX
    http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
    Shut down your anti virus
Follow the simple instructions it gives
Post the COMPLETE log it creates here (Split into sections if need be) ~ if there are loads of 'SNAPSHOT' pages then leave them out

If it comes up with a RENAMING error then RIGHT click the exe file and RENAME and call it QWERTY (Making the complete file name 'QWERTY.exe') Or SAVE as 'QWERTY' on download
(If no log comes up or you lose it, COMBOFIX.TXT can be found in C drive)

You've just fallen for two scam emails. If you use the same passwords on anything else, change them BY GOING DIRECTLY TO THE WEB PAGE AND LOGGING IN MANUALLY, not by clicking a link in an email.

If you had read post number 4 you will have noticed that I didn't click any links at all.

Ebay sent me an email telling me to go to the site and change my password - no links were given in the email!

While logging into Facebook, the next page came up that there had been some activity on my acount that they wanted me to verify that was actually me, after changing my password, I found that the activity wasn't me, again no emails, no links!

Please make sure you read a thread properly before telling someone they have done something wrong.

I never click links in emails and always have different passwords for different acounts anyway, so no problems there.

P.S Im not trying to be rude in what I have put above, just read it back to myself and it seems a bit arsey, its not supposed to come across that way.
