V3i Ringtone Editor/Maker?

My partner has a Motorola V3i iTunes, she wants to edit iTunes/MP3's to create ringtones from them.

I could of sworn I got the info from here last time I looked and I managed to download a small free piece of software that could edit MP3's into smaller chunks to create poly ringtones.

I've searched and searched this forum and can't find anything relating to what I want. I had a big clearout last time my p.c started getting sluggish and I've obviously uninstalled it and deleted the installer

Just wish I could remember what it was called......

Can anyone help?

    Hi
the only way i can get tunes onto my V3i phone is by using the software disc that came with the phone (motorola phone tools) and converting the songs to .wav files but to be honest the quality is c**p from the phone you hear background noise from when it was transfered i wouldn't bother!!

  • u can use mp3's as well as wav's

I use CDEx (which can extract timed sections of a track from CD to mp3)

I use Audacity to record and edit snippets of my favourite muzak for use as ringtones. I've been able to use these as ringtones on the V3i (non-itunes) and been pretty happy with the results.

    Hope that helps

I was going to say why not just use software on the pc to edit the track you have in mp3 and convert it back to mp3 for use on the phone.

you may need to convert the mp3 to wav edit then wav to mp3 thats the way I do it for my sister on her V3x
