Soil stack passing though the house- plumbing advise please.

Hi, I'm soon to have a ground floor extension of about 2 metres onto the back of the house. The bathroom is in the middle of the house above the dining room. The current soil stack runs down the oustide wall and into the drain.
With the extension the soil stackwill be internal and have to boxed into a wall or column -this will need an access point. Also the drain will be under the floor and not easily accessible.
Does anyone know if-
The pipe does need to have an access point from the downstairs room or can it be done another way.
If the pipe is internal would sound proofing work to stop the flushing making a noise in the room.
Any other suggestions please-can't find much info on plumbing regs for soil pipes.
thanks,

I'd have thought your architect would be the person to ask about it as it would need to be in line with buiding regs. As far as soundproofing, it can easily be done - ours is internal, but on an outside wall (if that makes sense) & the housing around it is just filled with polystyrene chips - works very well.0

We have one through the centre of the house, its boxed in and soundproofed - we dont hear a thing from it.0

We have 2, both are internal, neither have access points, house is 14 years old. As for soundproofing, not sure, but as we can't hear anything I assume there is some.0

Thanks guys, sounds like I won't have to worry about it!
