Removing Tabasco sauce from a white cotton shirt?

I have washed it twice, with Vanish and the stain is still there!

If the shirt is plain white some diluted bleach should work.

For all the adverts saying to wash at 30 degrees, I find nothing beats really hot water to get things clean. Depending on the fabric, you might be able to shove it in a pan and boil it.

A top of mine got splattered with hair dye once at the hairdressers and we didn't notice till the end of appointment by which time it was totally dry. Anyway I decided to soak it in vanish rather than wash it with vanish added - basically washing up bowl with water and vanish mixed in and a plate on top to keep it under the water level and left it - took a fair few hours but eventually it all came out and there was no damage / colour fade to the top.
