Typical, demanding buyer gets me now.

Well, i was in a motorbike accident on saturday and have been in hospital till yesterday. I come back to work today to find i had sold some hair on ebay. I offer same day dispatch if the buyer pays before 3. They didn't so the item should've been sent weds (they paid for 1st class recorded). I have explained the situation to them and said i would send item out today for hopeful delivery tomorrow. They said not good enough they want it guarenteed delivery before 9am to a different address because they have made an appoint with their hairdresser for tomorrow. I offer 1st class recorded delivery which can take 3-5 days anyway. I have said i can not do this and would issue a refund at their request.
I know they probably think i am lying about the accident but my swollen ankles, whiplash and bruises would prove i'm not. And i don't like people making demands so i'm not in the best of moods but i am trying to keep my cool with them.
I know i'm going to get a neg from this person. The have a feedback score of 26 so they are pretty new.
Why are people treating ebay like a proper online retailer now? Drives me mad

Given the situation I think offering a refund is the best you can do.
Sorry to hear about the accident. I hope you're okay :grouphug:-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

well as the accident proves theres more important things in life than worrying about some muppet who cant wait an extra day or so for their goods.
id say put them to the back of your mind and get on with getting well again, there not worth stressing over;) .0 -
Can they not just...rearrange the appointment?
Sorry about your accident
Glad your ok though We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Hey what would s/he have done if you had died... (which btw, thank god you didn't, hope you are feeling better)
The buyer should just accept the fact that you are are an honest person, and at least you are decent enough to offer a refund, most wouldn't bother and then just say' oh, it got lost in the post, not my problem'
I hope you manage to get this sorted, as ebay seems to have turned into a bit of a farce, too many scammers. I don't touch it anymore because of too many bad experiences.Proud to be me, proud to be who I am!!0 -
I agree with the above comments ... and I'm glad your ok

Dont worry too much about your buyer - as i have found out some of them are just idiots :rotfl: Your health is far more important than their hair

Tell her to read today's Sun. Story in there about convicts donating their hair to an oil spill cleanup mission in the Phillipines. Apparently they put it in bags with sawdust to form a floating barrier??????
Tell her you've now decided to send your stock to help with this humanitarian effort, and not to bother you again.
Get well soon

Thank you all so much for your thoughts, they mean alot.
Funniest thing happened. Shes left + feedback and sent an email apologizing for her emails and behaviour.
Weird people but at least everyone is happy (and alive
