Prolectrix Steam Cleaner - help.

I have a prolectrix new edition steam power cleaner that I can't get the top off and therefore can't put any water in it.
It is a handheld bright yellow model 3 bar 1000 watt.
The top needs to be un-screwed and it also has push written on it. I and several other people have tried all ways to get the lid off without success.
I bought this in November last year but had not tried it until now.It was bought from Ethel Austin as they normally sell clothes they have no more in their shop. Also I can't find the receipt.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get the lid off or advice about returning it.
Thank you.

Try spraying the top with WD40, usually works a treat on such things. You may need to leave it seep in first. The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.
I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.0 -
Cattie,
To get the top off you need to push the top down then unscrew it whilst pushing down. Have you used it yet, I have one but I'm sending it back as it doesn't do any of the tasks that it is claimed it will do.

Hi john1215.
It was me who was trying to get the top off.
I ended up taking it back to the shop and asking them to do it. They couldn't do it either and so gave me a new one.
The top of this one came off easily so I am assuming the other one was broke in some way.
However, I have still not got around to using it yet.0
