Just after a bit of advice...
I want install some decking lights (you know, type you can buy from B & Q and such like). However I would need to run a cable from the house to the shed, and the from there out to the lights. Is it generally acceptable for me to run say an extension wire on a trip from the house to the shed - or would it cause problems i.e. insurance/fire risk etc Or should I really consider an electrician to do the work?
As I say its not a major project - just some low wattage LED lights.

As it'll be out there in all weathers you should look at doing it right. Its a pretty simple matter of running a spur from inside the house to a consumer unit in the shed. But undoubtedly this will require a spark who's given some money to a quango for a bit of paper.0

If there low voltage have the transformers inside no need to faff around with outdoor cables being run.0
